Born in Konya in 1993, Deniz spent his childhood in a small village where two rivers meet at a distance of 5 km from the closest town. He completed primary education in a village school in nature. He went to the town daily to continue his secondary education. After high school, he studied Business Administration at İstanbul University.
He met with civil society in İstanbul and started to work with the aim of transforming the world into a more livable place. In 2014, he assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sulukule Volunteers Association. He served as Project Coordinator in Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) in 2015. He met with Education Reform Initiative while he was working as an educator after university and joined to ERG as Project Assistant in 2016. He gained new learnings by seeing how advocacy and field work can support change and transformation together.
Deniz is interested in theater and dance, he takes photos, writes, laughs and cries with poems. He is curious about different cultures and different things.
