Suat has been working as education and civil society professional since 18 years. He worked for Turkey’s Ministry of National Education as teacher, EU officer, learning designer and strategic planning expert between the years 2000-2007. After leaving public service he started to work at civil society organizations operating in the field of education and took responsibility of many social projects as developer, implementer, evaluator and manager.
When he was director of research and develeopment department at the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV), which is one of the largest educational NGO’s accross the country, TEGV’s impact assesment studies were accepted as “case” at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School, in 2014.
He served as C-20 Steering Committee member in 2016 during the Turkey’s G-20 presidency and consulted the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education in 2015 to prepare the Ministry’s strategic plan.
Suat received his BA from the Middle East Technical University, Department of History and MA from Hacettepe University Department of Anthropology. In 2014, with scholarship of Harvard University, he finished executive education program titled “Using Evidence To Improve Policy and Programs” at Harvard Kennedy School.
He loves children, literature, cinema, politics and is good at cooking. Pamuk, Kubrick, Tarantino, Demirkubuz and N. Bilge Ceylan his favourite novelists and directors.
