She grew up as a curious and rebellious girl in Çanakkale, and her interest in politics emerged in this way. In 2007, she moved to Istanbul to study at Vefa High School. Later, she graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University as a bachelor of Political Science, with a minor degree in Sociology.
During her undergraduate studies, she started to work in the field of children’s rights, then her path also crossed with women’s rights, youth rights and workers’ rights. She conducted right-based studies in various non-governmental organizations. Aiming to combine her experience in civil society organizations with her academic studies, she studied a master program on Welfare Policies and Management at Lund University, thanks to Swedish Institute scholarship. She received her master degree in August 2019.
Ezgi continues to volunteer in the field of children’s rights. Her fondness for literature continues to carry her to different interests. She likes to read and think about Istanbul’s urban history and travel around Istanbul in this way. One day she will realize her dream trip to Latin America.
